"Here's to the ages and my place in time."

For quite some time I've found inspiration in Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Deco photographs.As of this year I've been collecting Victorian cabinet cards and postcards featuring photographs of women and children. Who were they? Who did they become? What would they think of our current world that is saturated with the internet, phones, and instant connections? I wonder how they would feel about their photos being purchased and painted by a stranger over 100 years later. A precious child, someone's beloved, a very special pet - all lost to time. I love finding them.
